Jason is a science fiction author with a PhD in Philosophy. He's published over a dozen novels, and co-hosts the Brain in a Vat Philosophy YouTube channel together with Mark.

On this episode I discuss Zulu culture with Nzuzo Khathi. The Zulu people are a Bantu ethnic group of Southern Africa.
The Zulu people are the largest ethnic group and nation in South Africa with an estimated 10 - 12 million people living mainly in the province of KwaZulu-Natal. They originated from Nguni communities who took part in the Bantu migrations.

On this episode I discuss Afrikaner/Boer culture with Ruan Goosen.
Afrikaners or Boers are an Afrikaans speaking ethnic group in Southern Africa descended from predominantly Dutch, German and French settlers. The culture is distinct and it is a common misconception abroad that all white South Africans are Afrikaners or Boers. The three main origin myths of the Afrikaners are the Great Trek, the battle of Blood River and the Second Anglo-Boer War. There are about 2.7 million Afrikaners in South Africa.
